Solo Travelers @ Boston
Boston Hotels for Solo Travelers
People traveling alone are often concerned about safety. For that reason,
if you plan to stay in the heart of Boston, you'll need to decide how
adventurous you want to be before you make your trip. As with any city, you
don't want to go out at night without a clear idea of where you are going,
the surrounding area, and how you plan to return. Without knowing the
subways well, you may want to reconsider taking them at night alone.
Try to stay at a
hotel that is within close walking distance of the sites that you are
interested in seeing. Fortunately, Boston is well lit at night and there
are plenty of hotels that offer shuttle service and will assist you in
obtaining a cab. If you're a solo traveler and want to take in the history by day and the nightlife by night, stay in the heart of Boston. You'll be able to choose from ultra fancy hotels or moderately priced digs.
A growing area is the Seaport District of South Boston. The new Seaport Hotel is the main choice for lodging and is across from the World Trade Center, where many conferences and exhibitions are held. This section is just a short cab ride to the popular points in Boston as the hearty walker is only slightly inconvenienced. It juts out from the Boston Harbor just across the airport. Another option may be the Harborside Inn of Boston.
